Hello there,
I am bothering you, thank you.
I bought it,
I want to know about it,
1, handwritten red numbers, 245, is it a prison number? I saw Nr.21 and was logged off.
2. What does this handwritten red number mean?

3. This prisoner of war camp, in that part of the UK,
4, u.s censor 12,577, should be a letter of 12,577.
5, postmark BTTROP, used in 1923-1945? Because 1948 is this style

Hello,
The only answer I can give you is that apparently the number of the camp was corrected from 21 to 24-5 (not 245).
It seems as if "Great-Britain" was struck out. Possibly that was a forbidden indication.
I have no answers to the other points.
Best
Jean Philippe
Here you will find a list of all british camps with its number. The numbers 24-5 or 245 are not to find:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_W…_United_Kingdom
Gruß kartenhai
Camp No. 245 Weston Lane Camp, Otley, Yorkshire
On the following list yo can find the camp No. 245:
https://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/…of-war-camps-uk
Gruß kartenhai
On the big screen I can see that the number is 245 and not 24-5.
Hello, Jean Philippe, kartenhai
Thank you very much!
Also, I still have a question about this postmark BTTROP, my Chinese expert says this postmark BTTROP used in 1923-1945
After 1948 is this style

Cancellation experts here should answer your question, but as far as I know your Chinese expert is right. Please note the town is called Bottrop, not Bttrop.

Hallo Jean Philippe,
Thank you
Also, I am bothering you again. Is there a website about this Bottrop postmark?
